Dear Friends of Ali's Rally,

We are so thankful for all of the support that we have received from you in assisting us in making Ali's Rally such a tremendous success. Since Ali's passing on February 2, 2003, much has been accomplished through UNYTS (Upstate New York Transplant Services) and the Alison Gerlach Memorial Foundation in her memory. Ali's spirit truly has touched many people in Western New York and the generosity has been overwhelming.

Last year after Ali's Rally at the Alley '06, we were able to present UNYTS with a check for $18,000 (an increase of $1,000 over the previous year), which brings our total donated to $66,000. 

Ali's Rally continues to support the Donate Life student education campaign. This outstanding program is a multi-disciplinary project that is designed to assist Western New York high school students in the establishment of student led organizations focused on peer education in the importance of organ donation. A number of schools have already had this program implemented and the results have been dramatic. Education is truly the way for the saving of lives to occur through organ, tissue and eye donation and we are so thrilled to be a part of this through Ali's memory. What a great way to honor Ali, a seventeen year old whose life ended very suddenly, by educating young people to spread the word on the importance of having this important discussion of organ donation with loved ones. We are confident that through Ali many lives will be saved.

We would like to invite you to join us in continuing Ali's legacy by assisting us in this important partnership with UNYTS in the area of organ donation education.

On Saturday, October 13, 2007, we will be holding Ali's Rally at the Alley '07. This year's event will be held at the Transit Bowling Lanes located at 7850 Transit Road, Williamsville, New York. The lanes will be full of people bowling in Ali's memory and raising funds for UNYTS. We are asking you to join us.

Tickets are available for $25.00 each and this  entitles you to 3 games of bowling, pizza, pop (cash bar will be available) and snacks. Two time slots are available.  The event also includes silent auctions, raffles and 50/50 drawings. We know that your wonderful connection with Alison and the Gerlach's will add to making this a very special day.
